In this project we were to put a twist on a casual fairy tale. I chose to include all the aspects of Disney's Beauty and the Beast but I changed the appearance of Belle. I used real people in a more modern looking room with brighter colors. I put a modern twist on Beauty and the Beast but still included all the original aspects. I really enjoyed this project because we could use our imagination and make up whatever we wanted, not just our everyday fairy tale.

Gif (Andrew's Animations)

This is a gif of Andrew and I. We are in a galaxy and it looks like I am licking him. It portrays the way Andrew and I act in Creative Imaging class. We are always silly in this class together and that is usually where our ideas come from for the class. Together we decided to take this sequence of pictures and out them into a gif for the animation project. This shows our every day lives in creative imaging class with a twist because of the galaxy background. I really enjoyed this project because it came easier to me than a lot of the others.

Hybrid Animal

My hybrid animal is called a Doose Squirrelfly. It lives in warm areas, usually found in the meadows. In the picture he is sitting in the middle ground. You can tell this because of the flowers surrounding him. This particular Doose Squirrelfly is a male. You can tell because he has antlers, the females do not. To me, this project came out alright, I imagined it better in my mind. It was hard to get everything to look realistic because it isn't a realistic concept. Although it didn't come out as planned, it was still a very enjoyable project.

Alternate World

My alternate world symbolizes a place showing aspects of good and evil. It shows things that are unreal. I originally had the background with the rocks and the water. I added the rainbow, hot air balloon, pot of gold, parrot, the bird in the leaves, fire breathing dragon, mountain climbers, Nolan, the elephant butterfly creature, and the face in the rocks. The picture shows unusual beauty. Things are not proportional and not the size they would be in real life. That is what makes it an alternate world. I enjoyed this project a lot because it allowed you to do whatever you wanted. You let your imagination go wild and create a picture of whatever you could think of.

Kaleidoscope

For the kaleidoscope project we were told to use an image and manipulate it in different ways to make a design like one you would see in a real kaleidoscope. The first one I made I used a picture of peacock feathers, the second one I made I used a picture of a galazy, the third one I used a colorful design and changed the colors of the original picture to make a colorful spiralish design and the last one I made I used a close up image of a dragonfly. I stacked the images on top of eachother and merged the layers. The kaleidoscope project was a quick and easy one and I really liked it!

15 Green Things

The 15 Green Things project was a very difficult project. I enjoyed it because we had room for creativity and we could be free with the pictures to do whatever we wanted with them. I changed every image in some way and scattered them around to make and abstract picture. I used a lot of effects and used a lot of cropping. The end result came out pretty cool.

Digital Painting

I chose to paint a dog for my digital painting. I used a husky as my reference but I didn't want my dog to look exactly like the reference dog. I used the mixer brush throughout the entire project to get all the colors in the dog to blend together. I used a textured brush and make streaks with it so give it a fur effect. I used the grass brush to make the grass in the background and a blue spotted brush to make the sky in the background. I also added a yellowy glow in the background to look like sunshine.
